Step 0: Components of bearing
You can proceed the next step if the bearing you have is the same parts composition.
Step 1: Identify the shape of the outer race and measure the dimensions of ①.
Step 2: Check the kind of inner race and measure the dimensions of ②.
The dimensions of ② can be calculated approximately by the “inner race width – outer race width” shown in the following figure.
Using a caliper or ruler, measure the two areas shown in the figure and calculate.
In the case of the following figure, the inner race width is 8.87mm and the outer race width is 6.84mm.
Since “8.87mm – 6.84mm = 2.03mm,” we can estimate that ② is 2mm.
Step 3: Apply the information you checked in Step 1 and Step 2 to the product name.
You can identify the product by applying the shapes and dimensions you checked in step 1 and 2.

(1) Additional information
The following additional information may be added to the end of the product name.
“GN” means that the bearing has no grease.
“JH” means that the inner race is the hexagon head screw type.
(2) Notes
-The number on the side of outer race is the patent number and not related to the product name.
-Even if the outer race is grooved, it may still be engraved with the “DR” marking.
This is because the same outer race used for the DR series is also used for the grooved type, with a groove added to the outer diameter.
